Mrs. Florencia was born and raised in Santa Rosa, TX. She graduated from Santa Rosa High School, Class of 1975, she was a Lady Warriorette, as they were called then. She is married to Jaime Florencia, a Warrior as well, Class of 1973. She had 4 children, Michelle, Roxann, Jaime Jr. (deceased 2007), and Stephanie, all graduates of Santa Rosa High. She has a Great son-in-law, Julian, and 5 wonderful grandchildren, Matthew, JJ, Julius, Draven, and Greyson, two which are currently attending Elma E. Barrera and one at Jo Nelson.
Mrs. Florencia has been employed with SRISD for 42 years and counting! Throughout her years of service at SRISD, she has served as a Physical Education Aide, SRISD Tax Office Assistant Clerk, High School Special ED Paraprofessional, Interim High School Secretary, Federal Programs Secretary, Migrant Clerk, and High School Receptionist. She is currently serving as the PEIMS Clerk for Jo Nelson Middle School (Go Braves!) She doesn't know when she will be retiring, she only says soon.
We thank her for all the years of service. Again, congratulations to Mrs. Rosa M. Florencia, as she continues to say, "ONCE A WARRIOR, ALWAYS A WARRIOR"!!
